Nicole Hurd, LCPC,
Quality Assurance Director
Nicole Hurd grew up in Great Falls, MT and had aspirations to be a teacher to take after her father and grandmother. However, a psychology class in high school turned that notion on its head and she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Montana-Missoula. She was determined to obtain her PhD and work with older adults but again a class in her senior year at the university shifted her focus. She quickly decided on pursuing her Master of Arts degree at U of M in the counseling program where the professor taught that captivated her attention her final undergrad year. After completing her degrees, she moved home to Great Falls and started her time with the Center for Mental Health in August of 2009 as a CSCT therapist. This felt a little like meeting that dream of working in the schools even though she was not a teacher. She became licensed as a Professional Counselor in July of 2011. After 5 years in the schools, she moved from the therapist position into program supervisor for the middle school/high school CSCT teams. Most recently she stepped back into the role of direct care in CSCT before the opportunity for the Quality Assurance Director came available and she was promoted. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with her spouse and two dogs.
