Aaron Edwards, LCPC, Service Line Director – Intensive Programming
Aaron has been a licensed mental health counselor since 2010. He is currently serving as the Intensive Service Line Director at Center For Mental Health, where he strives to bring a compassionate, dedicated, balanced approach to his work. He earned his Masters of Arts in Counseling degree from Western Seminary in 2008 while serving as a Chaplain Assistant and Platoon Sergeant in the United States Army Reserves. He also completed a Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2019 from Louisiana State University Shreveport. His work as a mental health professional has included the use of solution focused therapy techniques for crisis intervention and stabilization, suicide prevention and evaluation for involuntary psychiatric treatment. In his current role he oversees a team of professionals providing ongoing training, clinical supervision, consultation, and coordination with community stakeholders. Aaron is an active member of the behavioral health community attending meetings related to coordination of care across providers and disciplines. He aims to ensure conscientious use of community resources to provide the best care possible for residents of our covered counties. Aaron enjoys spending his time with his family and giant dog, is an avid reader and runs marathons when his body will cooperate.
