According to the U.S. Surgeon General, mental illness affects one in five Americans each year. It is more common than heart disease, cancer and diabetes combined. Yet, many of our friends and loved ones don't always seek treatment because of the stigma they face.
Being diagnosed with a mental illness can be just as overwhelming as the illness itself. Established in 1974, Center for Mental Health exists to help with the recovery process. CMH is a 501(c)(3) private, nonprofit licensed mental health center serving 13 counties in Central Montana, with services now extending from the Canadian Border down to Whitehall on Interstate-90.
CMH offers an array of services for adults, families, individuals and children:
