Logan - Great Falls

When I was younger I found out that I had ADHD, OCD. In middle school I found out that I had stress/anxiety disorder and it was really hard to talk to people that I don't know and to start conversations. The summer program was introduced to me by my teacher, Mrs. Brown. I decided to be a part of the summer program so I could be a mentor and friend to the little kids who had the same problems as me and were afraid to talk to adults. I understand it because I have been through it.

The first year I was a student on the high school day. The next year I decided to volunteer on elementary and middle school days and sometimes the high school days when I was needed to help out. I had fun working with all the kids and staff and I look forward to doing it for the rest of my high school years. Thank you all the Center for Mental Health summer program staff: Karen, Yvette, Talisa, Dusti, Loren, Nicole, Ryan, Marlene, Mrs. Brown and Amy.

I am no longer afraid to introduce myself to people that I don't really know.  If there are problems with peers I have learned to cope with it, move away from the source, or ignore it. I have learned to talk to people I can trust about what I've been through. The Center for Mental Health programs have helped me become a better and happier and more confident person.
