John Kultgen - Power

Almost 40 years later, I am still working on myself with the Center for Mental Health.  Mental illness is treatable, and I’m living proof.

I’ve had a wonderful life, and it’s even better since I met the love of my life Susan.  We live on our 100-year old family farm where we carry on longtime traditions like making homemade summer sausage.  I still love old cars, and we’re members of the Montana Skunk Wagon car club.

Mental illness is only part of my life.  It isn’t my whole life.  People who are battling mental illness need to know that they need to be good to themselves, stay busy, and ask for help.  It’s hard to ask for help, but they were really there for me when I was at the end of my rope.

This year, I wrote an open letter to our supporters to ask for a charitable donation to the Center I care about so passionately.  Please consider a secure online gift to support beautiful minds.  Make checks out to CMH Foundation PO Box 1653 Great Falls, MT  59403 or PO Box 744 Helena, MT  59624."

Addendum:  John died of renal failure on December 1, 2012.  Read his obituary online.  He will be deeply missed.
