\"About five to six years ago, I was going through a personal hell that I could not get out of. I quit taking my meds and was just . . . existing. I had contemplated suicide, and I even had the weapon chosen to take my own life. I was working three jobs and I was not doing well to say the least, doing mediocre at best, until I got into another group home and came to realize the fact that I really was not doing well and need to get some help. I changed therapists, a new psychiatrist, and I got on better meds, but just did not have the final piece that I needed to get to the 'wellness' stage.

I ended up taking a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) class and eventually moved out of the group home and into my own place through the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) model. I am doing well today and I have built up a great support system using the committees that I either chair, or are in other ways part of. I continue my recovery everyday and as my life goes on so does the recovery that I live each day.\"
