Who are Beautiful
Minds?
Minds?
The Center for Mental Health Launched an anti-stigma campaign to celebrate the famous and not-so-famous people living with mental illness. So many people who lived with mental illness continue to enrich our lives:
Michelangelo, Beethoven, Abraham Lincoln, Virginia Woolf, Vincent Van Gogh, Charles Dickens, Sir Isaac Newton, Ernest Hemingway, Sylvia Plath, Vivien Leigh, Tennessee Williams, and Leo Tolstoy to name a few.
There are also many Beautiful Minds among us everyday. They are living examples of mental health recovery: Patty Duke, Terry Bradshaw and Mike Wallace.
Most importantly, we remember to celebrate the not-so-famous friends and family members who live with mental illness.
