A Brief History
The Center was established in 1974 to serve the nine county "Golden Triangle" region in central Montana. In 1997 the Center began providing services to Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, Jefferson counties, and in 2005 began services in Meagher county expanding the total area to thirteen counties.
In 2006 we changed our name from Golden Triangle Community Mental Health Center to Center for Mental Health.
Center for Mental Health is a non-profit corporation supported by client fees, contracts with state agencies, county contributions, and gifts from private citizens.
The Center is staffed by Psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric social workers, licensed counselors, nurses, and trained paraprofessionals.
Our professionally trained teams are able to provide quality care, diversified programming, and a full range of community based services.
The Center's mission is to provide the, "Highest quality therapeutic mental health services to the individuals it serves."
