Heidi Gibson
Heidi Gibson is the Executive Director of the Center for Mental Health Foundation. The Foundation’s role is to raise money for programs in 25 facilities in 13 counties in Central Montana, serving more than 6,000+ clients per year. In conjunction with fundraising, the CMH Foundation strives to eliminate the stigma attached to being diagnosed with a mental illness with the “Beautiful Minds” anti-stigma campaign.
This Great Falls native has lived in Washington, Oregon, and California, working in the places serving a wide spectrum of people: hospitals, prisons and libraries. She also worked with victims of violent crimes, mentors for adult felons, and homeless families. In 2009, the Mental Health Association of Great Falls awarded her with the Virginia Blend Memorial Award for her outstanding, passionate contributions to mental health. Gibson was named Montana's Business & Professional Women's Young Careerist in 2000 (for professionals under age 35).
Gibson is a graduate of Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) and studied abroad in Italy for a year (Viva Italia!). She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, South America, and most recently China. Even after riding camels at the Great Pyramids and paddling a dug-out canoe in the Amazon, Heidi is happy to call Montana home.
Her favorite saying is “Bloom Where You Are Planted.”
*Gibson is also a proud member of the Advertising Federation (Ad Club), Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Area Community Foundation and the Montana Nonprofit Association.
