Dozens gather at New Directions Center for National Homeless Persons Memorial Day

About 40 people circled up in the parking lot of the New Directions Center in Great Falls on Wednesday night as part of National Homeless Persons Memorial Day during the Longest Night celebration.

Stories inspire others to beat the odds for homelessness

 Shortly into adulthood, Vernon Bishop, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression, quit taking his medication.

He spun into a manic episode and spent every dime he had on a home theater system. When it came time to pay the rent, Bishop didn't have any money left.

MT House hosts annual Thanksgiving meal

Montana House staff knows holidays can be really tough for some people. So, for the past 18 years they've worked together to create a bountiful meal on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
